NZHL XRACE Expands to Include Two-Child, One-Adult Teams
In response to the needs of families with one adult caregiver and multiple children, NZHL XRACE is pleased to introduce a new team option: two children and one adult. This modification aims to ensure that all families have the opportunity to participate in the fun and excitement of XRACE.
What's included
Your NZHL XRACE entry fee covers a comprehensive package for each member of your team, ensuring you have everything you need to make the most of your XRACE experience:
How It Works
XRACE challenges are typically designed for two participants. In the case of a three-person team, we recommend that the adult step aside and allow both children to complete the two parts of the challenge. This approach ensures that all team members have an active and engaging experience.
Here are some examples of how this might work:
Ultimately, we leave it up to the teams to decide what works best for them. There is no right or wrong way to approach the challenges, and your decision will be the best one for your team.
Eligibility for Overall Trophy and Age-Group Awards
Please note that any child registered in a two-child, one-adult team will not be eligible for the overall trophy or age-group awards. This decision is made to maintain consistency across the event and ensure that all teams compete on a level playing field.
